Villa Regina, Boscoreale. The information card says: The villa was a farm and vineyard. This pig was found in a room of the villa, where it must have sought refuge during the eruption.

Victim 66 was found in 1979 in the cubiculum, room XVI, at Villa Regina Boscoreale.
It had fallen on its left side.

The cast, although incomplete due to the lack of the left hind leg and the gaps in the right front leg and the abdomen on the left side, is also successful due to the precision of the impression, which faithfully reproduces the details of the hooved legs, the bristles on the back of the animal and the muzzle, from the large nose to the open mouth, from the eyes to the small, pointed ears.
